I got the "Free" Overnight but it says estimated to ship 9/01-9/06...WTF LOL! Also ordered the guy lines and sand pegs from somewhere else. Still waiting on my Prinsu rack so it's gonna sit for awhile til I can install it...

 

LOL. That's what I thought about "overnight shipping." and that my stuff wold be on my doorstep either today or tomorrow. So I emailed AutoAnything and here's the response:

Our apologies for the confusion regarding our express shipping options, please allow us to explain the situation.

According to our records, the order was placed on 8/29/2016 5:06 PM PST for a ARB Fridge, ARB Awning and ARB Awning Wall Set and an expedited shipping option was selected.

Please be advised that our expedited shipping options only affect the delivery speed of the order, and not the time it takes to process and complete your order. The estimated shipping dates on the order won't be affected by the express shipping.

As per our records and the confirmation email you received at the time of purchase, the estimated ship date of your order is between 8/30/2016 - 9/1/2016. The express shipping will apply once the package ships.

If you want to get a refund on the shipping fee you paid, we can contact the warehouse and ask them to downgrade shipping to FedEx Home Deliver. However, please note that the package should be delivered within 7 business days after it ships instead of 1 business day as you requested.

 

Yeah, Confusion and misrepresentation for sure.
IF you are going to advertise Free or ANY overnight shipping, it should be JUST THAT.
Not, "hey, when we process your order in 10 days, then you'll get your order in the service time frame you paid for or selected".

If that IS the case, be up front and honest and advertise that properly.

Another poor customer service site in my opinion.
2 site the last 2 weeks I've run into.

LUCKILY, my want and need wasn't based on buying one day, and having it 2 days later like a TRUE well run site that offers overnight shipping would deliver.

Just my 2 pesos.

 

Definitely not a company to order from if you need anything in a timely manner. From what @Cuffs posted it sounds like they really don't maintain any stock themselves and just drop ship from various manufacturers directly. That explains why they can offer some good discounted deals but also why they don't seem to control the processing time prior to shipment.

 

My stuff is supposed to ship by friday.

I ordered on Monday and it also gave me the exact "wording" that you received. I doubt ill get it this week lol.

 

Placed order Monday evening.

 

Mine says the same, 8/31-9/2 ship date.

 

I sent my info as instructed on 08/26 and i haven't received anything via email from them yet.

Was able to find the disco on page 22 as well. I almost forgot for a second that Free Shipping doesn't mean Free Shipping when you live in Hawaii So, my 20% discount was basically replaced with the shipping cost. Actually it was pretty much to the $$$. So, I called and placed my order over the phone and negotiated on the shippig...lol! was able to get $15 taken off. All in all still a great deal!
