Came out great! no blemishes. I did not spray with Glossifer or anything like that.

Did mine yesterday. My last coat didn't go over so well giving it a textured look but I'm okay with that. I may or may not paint the emblem orange later on

They look so much better plasti dipped. Makes you wonder, what was Toyota thinking with the chrome? I am noticing a lot of Ford trucks have the same dark grill also.

Did you take your entire grill off to get the chrome piece that goes around the grill? or did you just tape it?

I took the entire grille apart, but the first time I left the emblem on and taped it, really messed up paint when the tape was removed. the emblem comes right out super easy.

This whole car, including the wheels are plasti-dip. I work with this guy and he is the guy that first told me about the stuff. Who's gonna hyper-color plasti-dip their truck first!

I took off the bezel and tapped off the emblem. I did remove the entire grill from the truck.

I saw it somewhere talked about in this thread where it was done. I think if you search blhm or something like that you'll find it.

Wow what a great thread, love all the pics and different ideas folks have come up with and really personalized their trucks.

As soon as I get my 17 Sport model I'll be dipping my badges black. But I looked through the entire thread and didn't see anyone who has a Sport model and dipped their fender flares. That will be done immediately, I love the Black fender flares on the Off-Road model, so I will do that to my Sport.

Also will do the front plastic piece that the license plates mounts on, Black, again just like the OR model. Really I think I only went with the Sport model for the hood scoop. LOL

I'll post pics here as soon as I start dipping! But if anyone has a Sport model and did the fender flares I'd love to see how they came out, and how the dip has held up.

    Thanks, Norma

If I were you I'd look at just trading your painted flares for a set of old-roads. I'm sure there's a few people on here that would be interested in that trade I'd say.

The OR Model is a step "down" from the Sport... don't do it man....:crapstorm:
