HELP PLEASE - 2000, 4×2, 5 speed, 2rz - no spark

Yes to coils - spark checked in shade after i quick spray of starting fluid - i agree it is awesome out here - panicking is over - if i sell it it is because i need the money to survive

Also, if someone here is interested in it, take notes and follow thread. I will know within the next few days what courses of action i must consider

Renting scanner as well today - Will report findings tonight

 

Much appreciated - i will start there, since i always probe around under the hood before i start working anyway.

 

If found a lot on people having the same problem they also lose fuel pressure, google 2rz no spark

 

Custom taco has a thread but I didn't have time to read through the 6pages as to what he did to fix

DEFINITELY check the ground, it could be bad under the rubber insulation or easily noticed.
Alway know, when it comes to cheap parts, find a pick and pull junk yard.

 

Not gonna make it to the truck tonight. Will keep updating.

zkdawg - there are 0 first gen tacomas I've been able to find in southern Arizona's junkyards..

 

You have to drive to the junk yard and pull them apart they won't put it online they have a Tacoma in there yes there worth money

 

Problem averted for now - i think i have a bad ground.

Found a popped fuse - (will update when i get back under hood *20amp)

Charged battery and tried again, wouldn't catch for awhile - but it did eventually, in the weirdest way. It acted like it was dead *3 slow turns & a pause - it did this twice and then caught after the pause
