So no issues whatever? At any speed? This could be an option for our winters if the Airflow head catches too much snow etc.

No issues ever, at any speed, and it's been X-country 2X. The reason I put it on was because of the wet-sloppy-ass mid-atlantic snow when I was living in WV/MD and it worked like a champ. You won't be disappointed. I didn't initially use the A-pillar bracket with just the Airflow intake. After I installed the Enginaire I could see a bit more movement in the snorkel and I attached the A-pillar bracket with the heavy duty 3M double back weapons grade all weather tape. It's still there with no problems.

Glad to hear....this is something I'll look in to if I have issues with snow in my snorkel.

Thanks. I just watched a video where a guy used butyl mastic weather strip and caulking cord. Stays soft and resists heat. Supposed to make an excellent seal. Is the stuff you use like a glue?

Was it this video? I used the same thing that the guy in video used and yep got it from Home Depot. It's located back in the AC area. Good luck with the install.

Thanks, that's the one. Did you use it in just the 2 places he did or more? Just got in on the second group buy. Can't wait to get it, but, using a hole saw on my truck scares the crap out on me.
Did you find the holes on the template lined up perfectly? Read on here they don't.

For the most part I placed sealant where he did and then some. I even went back and wrapped all of the connecting points in it too. Figure why not add a little bit more protection.
For me the template lined up pretty well. Only one of the stud holes were off but not by much. A lot of the guys from the first group buy I think used the template for only the large holes and then placed grease on the studs and placed the snorkel in the hole to mark where the stud holes need to go.
As far as cutting that hole or even drilling any of them, it's nerve wrecking cause once you start you can't go back. Just measure and measure again. To be honestly I said a quick prayer, lol.
Keep on researching the install and I'm sure you'll rock it.

I'll be running the regular scoop for daily driving. If the weather calls for heavy rain or snow, or if i'm going to a dusty location, then i will use the engineair pre-cleaner. I keep it in the truck along with a screw driver. Takes just a minute to swap over.

The ram is specifically engineered to work with the rest of the product so I wouldn't put an ARB on the airflow. If you want one for the airflow, have someone with a CNC make one for you. Though it looks like it impedes air flow so I wouldn't use one.

I don't think the template is wrong. When you have 6 or 7 holes to match, you can't drill all of them at the exact locations with a hand drill. A few locations off a little, and things won't mate up. However, the holes are big enough to take some misalignment. Also, you can dremel them out longer or wider if needed with ease.

Make sure to run your hole saw at full speed when cutting. I made a mistake of going slow, trying to ease in the first bite, but it ended up biting on just one side, stalled and almost spun the drill off my hands. Scarry moment. Oh yeah, put a lot of painter or masking tape on the fender to avoid scratches.
