In other words they suck unless you're off-road 100% of the time

I have Maxxis Bighorn MT in 255/85/16. My lift right now is OME nitrochargers with 885s in the front and SPC UCAs, and Dakars and nitrochargers in the rear. I have a hybrid front bumper, IFS skid, LCA skids, and bolt on sliders. My wheels are 16x8 0 offset. I rub when backing out and turning left, and also sometimes on the trails. I need to to CMC and ive trimmed my flares a little in the front.

I like the look, and wouldn't consider going to 285s. Although i dont like this tire. As soon as these wear out, ill be ordering Cooper ST Maxx

I am waiting for my new suspension to come in (Icon stage V), and then I will be going back for an alignment. Hopefully then can fix the rubbing issue.

Those 255's look pretty good on stock suspension....I think I'm going to go with the 255's when I get to that point. Here in CO I don't think the wide tires offer much benefit on the stuff that I wheel on.

I like the look of the gun metal....I'm sending you a PM.....

I could have swore there was a thread where a guy had 285s on stock wheels no spacers and stock suspension and the only thing it rubbed was the uca just a hair. I want to do 285s on stock wheels and 3 inches up front the light racing upper control arms are cheaper than wheels and the new offroad wheels look good and are fairly light.

Here's 255 km2. I went with this size cuz I didn't want any rubbing issues. Not until I put on wheel spacers did I have to trim some of the fender liner. I've been real happy with these off-road. I would def buy again.

I have the bamf Shock relocation in the rear and didn't want to rub the shock body with the tire when flexing.
