Fox 2.0 Coilovers in the front and Fox 2.0’s in the rear, Total Chaos UCA’s, Al-lpro expo leafs, K&N cold air intake, TRD headers,Magnaflow catback exhaust,URD short throw shifter, switched out my 60/40 bench seat for some Tacoma Limited seats, Replaced the vinyl shift boot for a leather one, completely soundproofed the cab w/ Frost King. Replaced stock radio with a Pioneer AVH series head unit. Focal component system w/a 10" sub powered by 2 Alpine amps. Weathertech floor mats. Line-X'd the bed. SCS Ray 10’s, Installed an A.R.E. MX series camper shell. All-Pro Apex front bumper w/ All-Pro skid plates all the way back to the Trans. Low Range fuel skid plate.
I'm purchasing a pair of Limited seats off of a Local guy and in one of the pictures I noticed he had a different rear view mirror. It appears there are map lights. Mine is not like this. I believe mine is glued right to the window. Can anyone confirm this is true? (I'm not home right now so I cant look at the mirror to see if it's attached to the headliner or window)

Yes I guess it was a option or upgrade to a different trim level. I have had two 1st gens and both had the map lights

Depending on the truck it is different. Mine came with pleather headliner and just a mirror holder. I upgraded to a map light and mirror holder assembly

If there is one I can grab somewhere would I need to replace the whole headliner or can I just put the rear view mirror/lights onto what I already have?

You can buy a mirror map light assembly for cheap from a 2nd gen 4Runner and it will fit. That's what I did

    Is it already prewired?

I'm assuming you mean third gen?

Nope, although I'm sure a 3rd gen Runner one would work. Mine for sure came out of a 2nd gen, I guess the light housings and bolt patterns just didn't change. It was not prewired though, it uses the bolts for ground and you can tap the wires from the dome light easily like I did.

I just did the same thing in my '98 that originally had a rear view mirror with no map light. Mine was also from a 2nd gen 4runner (a '94 I think). Wires for the dome light run along the edge of the headliner on the diver's side then down the A-pillar. The top driver side corner of the windshield is where I tapped into mine.

All required screw holes were present under the headliner and the connector in the second picture came with my 4runner map light. I also replaced the original incadescent bulbs with LEDs to really get the most out of my new lights. Best interior mod I can say I've done. Finding stuff at night is way less difficult now that I don't have to pull out my phone and wave it around the cab with the flashlight on.
