Thought this was a great idea!! I've boogered the edges of all the drain plugs ( except front diff which already uses this style) over the years; new axle had def been dragged around the scrap yard on the drain plug area, had a hard time getting the 24mm on the plug properly. Might have to do this mod at some point! should work for all ya 2nd gen's too, I'm guessing

Doesn't matter what you use they can be a pain in the ass. My thoughts are I wouldn't change it; as a matter of fact I may change mine to the regular one. I have the hex one as a factory plug in the front diff and the hex just rounded right out and could not be taken off because the outside of it is round. I had to use a air chisel to notch a spot and get grip on it. At least with a regular one you can still grab onto the thing with a simple pair of vise grips to get it off or more importantly tighten back up.

I had to wait a few days to change my fluid because I was waiting for the new plug from the dealership and I didn't want to lose the fluid while changing the drain plug...

 

Since when do Icon ext. travel components equal " Long Travel"?

Damn Rob, that sucks. yeah, I wouldn't like them much after that either I think mine would have done the same the first time I cracked it, but I took some time to clean out the hex hole of rust/dirt and really got a good seat on the hex socket.. didn't feel like it could have rounded out, and I had to break like 80 ft lbs of rust sealant, my favorite

 

Also, pretty sure Spidertrax does not make 1" wheel spacers.... this guy seems like a knucklehead

I really like this truck, but the person selling it said timing belt.... these have timing chain...

i have a rough time trusting the seller making that mistake, i would make a bold guess here and say seller didn't built it and he picked it up just like that from whoever done did the work.
