I believe that because most everything in the trucks and cars now are controlled by computer . There are bound to be problems . Coding errors and computer problems are never going to go away . I , over the years have gotten used to my laptop and desktop computers every once in awhile having a problem , and need to reboot .They have memory errors or even main processor failure etc. . I hate it but that's the way it is . It does not matter what make it is.
I wonder if Toyota flashes brand new ECM,s once or do they error check ? This alone could result in some trucks having corrupt coding and have more trans problems etc .than others.

You misunderstand. I am not crying for you nor is anyone posting the same issue 50X/day and night.

I am stating that purchasing a new vehicle, no matter the vehicle, and then chasing one issue after another is time better spent elsewhere. Particularly when one purchases a new vehicle.

Congratulations on your flawless vehicle. Others' mileage may vary..

So one person's anecdotal feedback that the truck is flawless automatically dimisses the fact that many other vehicle owners are having some valid and significant issues with their 3rd gen?

If that is how you feel then I'm sorry about that. I will say there are some people who are dragging out there problems too far for whatever reasoning they have but the majority of people who have issues are being legitimate.

The majority of issues I have had, like many, many others, have been truly mechanical. Toyota is like APPLE inc. for the car world. Overpriced but consistent quality and great customer service(obviously sometimes that deviates a bit so does APPLE). It isn't necessarily a computer issue, I think they just got some pretty crappy companies to provide parts for this generation's vehicle. Perhaps the wrong contracts were taken, maybe lazy workers who put together the parts, I don't know. Happens to APPLE to but we all eventually get things straightened out.
