Hi, just bought a 2016 SR5. I am considering putting an EXTANG hard tri fold 2.0 tonneau cover on it. But I am wondering the best way to seal the gaps near the front corners of the bed to keep water out. Anyone have any ideas?

I don't worry about mine. I don't expect water proof. What leaks in just dribbles down the side, under the bed mat, out the drains.

If a vendor installs it they'll use a never harden type of rope body sealer. It will help, it will still leak in the right conditions.

You can't seal the tailgate anyway, so it doesn't matter much. And it will weep at the gasket joints on the sides too.

I bought a Vanish cover for mine and it came with some neoprene "L" shaped gasket material.

It comes with square pads to seal the gap. There's installation instructions that come with the cover.
If you're having any doubts, keep in mind that I had a 200lbs. friend stand in the middle of the thing
without an issue. You're also able to install/remove alone if you strong arm it. :muscleflexing::militarypress:

mats, flaps, and stickers. Extang solid fold 2.0. Mobtown sliders and full skids. AVS vents
Little squares as mentioned, and get the tailgate seal. Mine only had very minor leakage.

But don't count on it being 100% waterproof. Somethings might still get wet. It definitely does help keep things from getting wet/hit by the sun. best investment esp. now that we have a locking tailgate.
