You mean this one here for $150?
    http://newjersey.craigslist.org/pts/5702896712.html

That's a good price for what he's selling. More parts than I need, but the price is not bad despite that and spare parts are never a bad thing. I'm gonna look into it.

Where you seeing this? The only listing I see related to FJ or twin stick are in the 2nd gen section. I've got a 1st gen.

Guys. Need your eyes peeled for a Toyota RAV4, AWD for my 16 year old. Needs to be in good mechanical condition and decent cosmetic appearance.
    Around $5K or less
A little more if in outstanding condition.
Willing to drive upwards of 100 miles from zip 10920.
    Help me out.
    Thanks,
    LLoyd

So I contacted the guy on CL and here's what he had to say. He no longer has the 2001 diff, but he does have the 1996 diff and and the 2001 ADD actuator bolted to it. He said he'd let both go for $100. Best price I recall seeing.

But then there's something else that's come up. I was fiddling with my truck and if I have the 4WD button depressed inside the cab and I disconnect the ADD actuator plug and reconnect it, it sometimes works. But not most times. One time when it was working, I went around the block for some testing. Very inconsistently, but indeed a few times, I was able to get it to engage and disengage as it should. So that was interesting. But boy was it very aggressive and clunky when it did.
Should I take the actuator off the truck and see if there's some way I can service it, as opposed to buying another one?

I am from Central Jersey and have always called it porkroll. Can't remember if I read this whole thread or not, but don't remember seeing Oz in here before.
