Tom from HID Projectors did mine. They said taking them apart was a pain. They use the factory paint codes to match everything up.

Mine are getting yanked apart this weekend for the BHLM. Just waiting for the mail guy to bring me my XSB switchbacks.

Every time I've pulled headlights apart, I've been freaked out. Never changes lol

Nice. The quad projector upgrade is sick. How much over the $1000 base price is it to add the extra projectors?

Actually pulled mine apart and had them back together today. Getting them apart is easy. 300F for 10 minutes, firm pull, and they pop right apart. The whole chrome piece comes out with 4 or 5 screws. Took me longer to add my halo than it did to pUllman apart and paint the inside.

Here's about the best pic I have from today.

The Retrofit Source. It's an XSB 2.0 and I wired it up to come on with the DRL and switch with the turn signals.

Did the BHLM last month. No halo ring for the stormtrooper look.

That's the main reason I wanted to black mine out. I hate orange ambers inside the lights. Your lights still look a lot better than oem.

I thought about painting the reflector, then decided not to just to offset the black a bit.

Don't make me second guess my decisions lol

Soon I wanted to add a halo ring around my projector bulb like you did, I would take the wire off of the driving lights and splice it onto the halo ring? Also, I wanted the projected bulb to produce a white light. Do I just buy a bulb that I slide into the projected lens or do I just get a whole new unit? Thank you! Looking forward to doing this and painting!

If you want to wire it to the DRL you have to wire the hot into the DRL hot and ground the halo to either the DRL or frame. I chose into the DRL. The halo is of your choosing, mines an XSB which made wiring a bit more artsy. As for the bulb, you have to get a bumb that burns with a whiter color.
