what would happen in cases such as this? Would they fix and sell it as used?

My guess is very discounted. As seen around here a few years ago with a flood. And brush floating debris damage. They sold them cheap as is.

My guess is the same for this one. Depending on how bad it is damaged. It probably will probably be fixed with a happy new owner who may visit here, or taken to where ever or who ever was originally responsible and used as a beater as is around the mfg site. I saw several honda pilots do this same thing.

Get it as is without fixing the body damage. Then you don't have to worry about the first "character ding" when you go off road.:mudding:

This is what happens when some city boy decides to go off-roading in his tee-co-ma sport.

They will crush the truck most likely. We've had a few cars get rear ended while on the transport. They are hauled out and destroyed.

As for getting it off the trailer. They will probably call in a heavy wrecker to support and then torch the chains holding it down.

Transport companies insurance will handle it. If they are "self" insured like us we would keep the unit, repair it and use it as a company vehicle.

Possibly a heavy wrecker, more than likely a crane with soft straps to do as little additional damage as possible. The vehicle is help on with soft ties. Chains are no longer approved for transport you Toyota. Although some people do sneak by with them still.

I believe here in California if there is $300.00 or more damage they have to sell as a used car
