OK. My truck currently has a 2 inch spacer on it but the coils are saggy. And I'd like a little more lift. That's why I'm debating which coil to get. I think I might just shoot for the 882

So I was thinking about getting a set of ome dakars to replace my sagging factory springs. The only thing I can't find much info on is the greasble inter-leaf pads that item descriptions talk about. I did read somewhere that you could (and should) replace them when worn to help springs last longer. So do the springs for our tacomas come greasable like that and does any one know of some good writeup's of people replacing those liners? (Was just curious on how that was done)

There are no "greaseable liner pads" per se. I think some members are separating the leaves and greasing the pads that way.
Personally, I don't recommend this as the grease will attract dust, sand, dirt, grit, and wear out the pads. The plastic alone should be enough to prevent any squeaks.
Diamond or taper cut on the end of the leafs will do the same thing. But that's another discussion.

Now on another note, there are greaseable shackles available for the rear, with a grease zerk.
I'm not sure about the front leaf mount to frame, prolly doesn't move enough to need it anyway.

    Driver side.

lol, no. I assume he was asking about a stock replacement. Like a set of Monroe's or similar. The OME's are the same length per side.

Just wanted to chime in since I'm so happy with the way my truck rides now. Unlike the bilsteins I removed, the ICON's I installed are side specific (longer shock goes on the passenger side). They work great with the OME dakar leafs (then again my bilstein 5100's were shot).

So anyone have any thoughts on 5100s vs nitrocharger sports? I want better ride quality. I get the argument that the ome shocks were made for ome springs and all but I'm curious. I'd rather save some money and get the 5100 kit with 882s rather than the nitrocharger kit because it would save me about $200. However, if they are drastically better or something I may figure a way to swing the nitrochargers

Now that your OME setup w/881s has probably settled, how much lift do you have?

    OME and worth every penny.
Man, after 70K miles my lean is back with Dakars. Stranger is that my stockers leaned towards passenger side.

Regarding amount of lift with 881 on a DC...

extract from my maintenance log (23 Jul 16):
    • Replaced front shocks
      • Preassembled struts.
      • NitroCharger Sport shocks
      • 881 springs
      • OME95PF5 5MM Trim Packer on driver’s side
      • Reused OEM bolts and washers.
      • Gained 3”. Measured from bottom lip of rim: Was 28.75. Now 31.75.
Only put about 50 miles on them so far. Expecting them to settle about 1/2"-3/4" once broken in.

CV angles are about as far as I'm willing to allow.

Regarding OME shocks being side specific...

my preassembled NitroCharger Sport shocks were side specific due to the OME95PF5 5MM Trim Packer on driver’s side

Wow 3" is quite a bit. I understand it'll settle though. Im looking for around 2". Do you have any pictures of your truck with the new setup?

for whatever reason my 881's gave me 2". most of what i read said i'd get 2.5ish but maybe that was coming from a saggy front end.

original shocks had 12 years/90kmiles on them. They were pretty sagged.

measurement and pic was taken immediately after installation, and I hadn't put the ARE cap, racks, spare, etc. back on.

I'm expecting about 2-2.5" when all said and done.

I'm guessing my coils are saggy too. I have an 04' at 106k miles and the top 3 coils are pretty much touching each other. I'm going to go with 881s, just debating on 5100s or nitrochargers.
