I could and will have to be hitting you up for help. Also figured I'd wait to install the front shocks till you build the winch setup

This is going to be interesting.

Edit: take a lot of photos of the wiring. That's what kills everyone. Post mistakes too. It will help others from making them.

The electronics is pissing me off atm.. It wants an input from the truck to work right... Just ordered the parts I'm gonna try and build the controller forum an arduino board.

Edit: on further reasurch I might not need the arduino board be aside the computer is looking for the vss and nutural start switch

Why did Toyota decide to put 2 :censored: gray wires in the wiring harness?!? And both are without a stripe! One goes to add and one to t-case... So after the last 2 weekends of fighting the harness I was about to quit and decided to test all the wires before stoping, thinking one was broken in the harness.. Well none were. I mixed up the gray wires.. :frusty:
Downloaded the scribd app that has the wiring diagram for the 05(close enough) I found that my truck is wired for a 4wd computer that only controls the rear dif lock (which I don't have) but that connector is set up for power and the vss pins. The neutral switch I have the wire taped but not sure if I'm going to run that or send it to constant power yetimage.jpg
The white connector to the right was taped up to the dash harness , this is the 4wd computer connector. The purple-white strip is the vss signal. This can also be found at the 2nd connector from bottom at ecu. The neutral switch wire is blue-white strip goes into the second connector from the top on the junction box.

If anyone is interested the red-white strip located in the black connector on he left of the pic is +12v when in reverse for reverse lights.

So now my next step is to get hubs in and install add, as well as extend the wiring harness so everything reaches the locations I want them in. :bananadance:

Thanks @nj636 for the hubs, they look great and should make installing the front dif easier. IMG_2641.jpgGot all the wires soldered and ran for the dash switches. Now after 3 weekends I can put the dash back together and ready for the hard parts to be installed :bananadance::yay::woot:IMG_2642.jpg

What were all the parts you sourced for the conversion? I see a tranny, transfer case but not sure what the other piece is or what other parts you needed also.

    Good luck btw

Was trying a local auto recycler be they Dident wanna work with me cause I wanted the wiring first before all the other parts. And after no luck on craigslist I found a tow and salvage yard that had an 08 with low miles, they were willing to price it out now and not wait for something else later. And all except for the new hubs was just under $1k
    Also used car-part.com
