I didn't find the clicking obnoxious or loud at all. And when it locks, it's pretty well damn locked up, unlike a limited slip. I'll check out the no-slip.

Well if the clicks are coming from the locker, then that's not right. Can you tell it's coming from there?

Mine is loud. It's definitely coming from the rear end. What else would you suspect it is?

I would only think it's from the locker, something has gone funky with it. Are you a hundred percent certain the install was done correctly? They're not too complicated, but I have seen them installed incorrectly before. That's the only time I've heard of these ever having problems, they're almost bulletproof.

I really don't know. Previous owner installed it but he seemed pretty knowledgeable about it. He said they pulled it out twice looking for what may be causing the noise and could never find the problem. I'm pretty sure it's been like this for a while.

Have you tried putting the axle on jack stands and putting truck in gear?

Unlikely scenario here, but are the 2 rear tires EXACTLY the same diameter? If not, that may cause constant clicking.

Are they the same brand, model and size?
Do they have the same amount of wear?
Do they have the same pressure?

Same tires. I'll check the pressure.

Same pressure as of today. Wondering if the springs are weak or something??

I know I'd have to pull the 3rd out but do I have to take it apart to install new pins and springs?

Yes you would. And on that particular diff it requires resetting gear backlash and bearing cap preloads.

The way that locker works im 98% sure its not your problem.

OK well here's another question for you then... I have another 3rd member (stock) but it's missing the pinion nut (flange just falls off)... Would I have to set preload if I buy a pinion nut?? OR could I remove the spider gears and put them in place of the locker in my current 3rd member? I'd love to keep using the 3rd I have now because it has a 5.83 gear in it. What is your suggestion?
