    Sweet. I might get this 2009 Tacoma with 123k miles then. Just has a small dent in it and a bearing needs replacing (they're doing that for me right now). Double cab short bed 4x4 v6 base model. Asking $16990 but I think I can talk them down to $16000. Thanks again.

    Albuquerque, NM. There's really not much for private owners around here. Plus I have to finance with 0 credit, either having a co-signer or relying they would give me a loan just because I'm active duty military. So it's through a dealer.

    Look into usaa. You'll get better rates and that opens you up to buying private party.

    Don't rush into getting one if you don't have to. I'm guessing your at Kirtland, wait for a private party if you can, bum rides off your fellow airman. Get pre-approved from USA, when you find the truck that you want and is a good deal they will send you a blank check for the seller.
