Squealing Noise at idle

I recently bought a Taco, it has a 1000 miles on it and it started giving me a squeal noise from the engine and took it into Toyota to get it look at and they said it was normal, which I was like okay whatever probably lying to me. So I have a coworker who also has a taco but he's has more miles and no problems as in squealing. It's not a tick it's a squealing noise. Any advice, this the first Taco I own.

 

Take it to a different dealer. Leave a shitty review for that dealer on any Yelp-or-similar type websites.

And leave a review for service department. Dealerships are well aware of this site and get touchy over negative reviews.

 

Depending on how loud it is this could be the direct injector cleaning cycle. It shouldnt be on all time though and normally you only hear it during idle. When I first heard it I would have called it a squealing sounds. It's definitely not squealing belt loud but it gets your attention.

 

the fuel pump makes a chirp noise. different brands of fuel make it better or worse.
