Had a second gen until about a month ago. Sold it and bought the 01 and a commuter car.

Did you have to do anything to make it fit?

You have to cut the ends off the tire brace to fit a 33

I should probably do this with mine instead of leaving it in the bed of the truck for somebody to steal. Not like I'll be wheeling every weekend anyways.

Yea doesn't work well with a 12.5" wide tire

You're better off getting yourself a swingout.

Well my spare is a 285/75/16. Not sure if being narrower by 1" will make it fit better. As long as it will stay up there for daily driving now that I have a longer commute. I don't mind removing it for the occasional wheeling.
Definitely. I'll get one some day. Just not in the cards anytime soon.

I really hate having the tire under the bed since I know I'm going to hit it when wheeling. If I could go back and redo my swingout, I'd go dual swingouts since I really don't like the length of a single singleout. HOWEVER, if you want to build a fold down table for the swingout, by all means go with a single swingout. For my needs though, dual would have been better.

I want a single swing....eventually. I need a couple more people to hit my rear bumper in a parking lot first
