About two weeks ago I started getting a loud hum from the front right side of my truck. I deduced with the help of the internet and some other threads, that it was my wheel bearing. I had everything I needed so I decided to do it myself instead of the 736$ the stealership said they would charge. BTW I have a 2WD PreRunner.
here is the bearing I got ,
( http://www.autozone.com/suspension-...assembly-front/698589_429240_0/?checkfit=true ). Ive already got the hub pressed back into the bearing. my question is, do I need to packthe new bearing with grease before I put it all back together. Sitting on my thumbs so help is appreciated.
    Thanks

Bama and jersey hubs on here sell a prepressed hub ready to bolt on for $160-170 a piece and they are both made out of the best parts available! With a 12 month/12k warranty!

Well like I said, ive already bought the new bearing and pressed the new hub into it. I just need to know if I need to press grease into it.

Id assume you don't have to, I'm not sure Though ... The ones for sale here on the forum are apparantly bolt on and go ... Maybe someone else may chime in if I'm wrong or know better?

Yes. The guy making the ones that 10trdtaco is talking about is packing them with with additional high temp grease before theyre shipped out to try to prevent premature failure of the replacements.

I might be mistaken, but isn't it too late to grease the bearing? You already pressed it together. I didn't think you could pack the bearing once it's all assembled.

It's a sealed bearing, no need to add grease

Did both of mine a few months ago, they should come pre-greased. Plus I'm sure AutoZone gave you atleast a one year warranty if something goes wrong.

If you're able to pack grease into the bearing that's already been pressed into the hub I'd say go for it. Even if it's already been packed I don't think packing more would harm anything
