Good Tacoma = Good FJ. If I had the money and the family I would own both.

As it stands right now I am leaning toward the TRD Pro because of a physical disability that prevents me from doing my own mods and makes it difficult to get in and out of the FJ but it is a tough decision.

I just wish they would show up on dealer lots instead of Toyota's "allocation" system. I am told the earliest I can get one is December although at MSRP with no "price adjustment" (or dealer upcharge)

I would not even think of owning a truck that wasn't a Toyota.

Unfortunately the Tundra will not fit in my parking space and the 4Runner TRD Pro is far too much for my needs given that I haven't a wife nor a family.

Yeah, sniff-sniff, at this stage of my life it's just me.

I agree. The "allocation" thing is B.S.

Here's "my family" for a rare group photo,lol....

I never made it back to share pics of the FJ.We drove it from Arkansas to Alaska over the course of 2 weeks. I think we did 15 states, 3 providences in Jan of 2014. Good times on the alcan.

My wife and I are joining the FJ community tonight. I will still have my Tacoma and she is getting a stock yellow 07 for her daily driver. She is pretty excited, and I have to admit it was fun to drive when we test drove it. :)

Ha, yeah she is already looking into ideas of what she wants to do to make it her own. :)

I am thinking of installing a newer head unit with bluetooth, backup camera, and possibly gps. I guess it isnt completely stock, it does have an aftermarket remote starter installed.

The front suspension looks very low, is it 2WD? Get some lift for it. ;)

I think you need a quick minor mod.....with some Yellow 1 cueballs for shifters (mini cueball for 4wd too). I have a set that I like....I think I got it from ebay.

So I learned something new about the FJ last night. Apparently if you have a 4x4 with the locking rear differential you can add the A-Trac by just purchasing and installing the A-Trac switch and plugging it in. The only catch is you must have factory 4x4 with factory locking rear differential. The switch runs around 45-50 bucks and it only takes a few minutes to plug it in. Pretty cool/cheap/easy upgrade.
