Also want to borrow my Monterey Bay aquarium passes? Get you in for free (2 people) as tickets are like $50 a person. You can just drop them off when your done or if you're not coming back this way just mail them to me.

Gayle's is pretty good too. I'd second the Santa Cruz Diner option and add if you're looking for a lighter pastry/coffee thing, try Verve Coffee Roasters. There are several locations.

Never heard of Alice's might have to look into it.

Gayles is good but I've had it so much I'm sick of it. Sadly also it's almost cheaper to eat a sit down restaurant and be waited on than eating at Gayles.

I'm not a coffee person so never been to verve but heard great things.

Verve is dope. It's full on hipster coffee... But I'm a sucker for good Joe. After 3 years of working in SF, drinking Philz, Blue Bottle, Ritual, 4Barrel, and Sightglass, etc I'm totally converted.

That's what I've heard, I don't drink coffee so I never go but everyone loves it here.

84/35. Go during the week or early on weekends.

I agree with the Gayle's comment...too much of their own success. Which also makes the sit down places nicer in the long run.

And Verve is pretty dope and full of hipsters and they sure know how to make coffee.

Nice! What do they have you doin? Well if I was home yea, but my wife has actually started to pack and prep the house. We put an offer on a house a month ago and were ready to move but we pulled out of the deal with my medevac and lovely trip to Walyer Reed. Didn't want to get into a mortgage with unknown job security in the near future, pending what's actually wrong with me.

And now I have 5 of these:

One of the tires is brand new, the others are ~50% tread. Maybe a bit less. If you're interested, let me know.
