Anyone else feel like their tacos don't cruise well? For example when I am on the highway I take my foot off the pedal and the speed drops immediately...

I know people were having trouble with their trucks down shifting coming to stop and they would have to gas it instead of rolling to the stop sign.

Same concept but I feel like it's happening at high speeds.. is this normal and how the truck was made?

I did get my atf fluid checked as well with the tsb update

Your truck has the aerodynamics of a garage. It's the way it is.

I slow down even faster this the crap attached to my truck!

I've noticed with mine, if I'm going around 45 mph, then I let off the gas and cruise down to the 30's or 20's, I often experience a harsh downshift where the truck jerks as if I had slammed the break for a half second... Is that similar to what you're experiencing?

My Jeep Wrangler with auto doesn't do this. The new Tacoma trans sucks! File a complaint Toyota, like me. I have an appointment on the 14th.
A regear will fix the problem.

My 2015 does this as well. I feel like I've got to keep my foot in it to cruise more so then other cars. Doesn't bother me, but it is normal

My truck gears down to 3rd whenever I apply the brakes just to slow a bit on downhills for curves....usually about 40-45 mph.....I have to either use select shift to up-shift or tap the accelerator.....extremely annoying....Post TSB.

I actually like this feature of our trucks.... Keeps me from having to apply the brakes as much.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
I bet you came off a car. Y'know to many guys who tow this is a feature? Engine braking is a thing, bud.

What is the gearing from the factory and what do you want to get it changed to?

Familiar with engine breaking but I prefer to do it manually. I didn't know a automatic truck downshifting on its own was really considered engine braking.

Thanks for the input though "bud"
