Many novices I instructed in performance driving were ready to toss a pile of money at the suspension on their car. Then let them ride with an experienced driver, and they were shocked how much smoother and how much faster their car was.

    'Quiet hands' was the term.

Applies to all vehicles, even in daily driving styles. Some folks scare the bejebbers out of me and never reach the speed limit.

From what I understand, the Off Road's spring rate increases as it get's compressed more. This makes for a smoother ride offroad. The sport and base models have the same linear rate at every point in the compression cycle.

At the risk of bringing the "I took off my sway bar and it handles better than ever" crowd out in force, I added a rear sway bar to my "stock" suspension, 2015 Sport, and improved the handling significantly. Yeah, I know, it's not a sports car ( and I've had a number of those), but, as stated earlier, tires inflated properly, alignment, and suspension components in good order can make a big difference in the way a vehicle behaves on the road.
