Has anyone ever made 15" rims fit with the 199mm calipers?
By grinding or reducing backspacing or what?

I did the upgrade a year ago. It's okay, nothing stellar. But having to run 16" rims in order to fit them is really a bother.

The only 33" tires available in 16" rim size are Load Range E. I tried those and can't abide them.

I'm about to downgrade the brakes back to the Tacoma size so I can run 15" wheels and have real tire options. Dread that too, as the Tacoma brakes have about the same stopping power as a mountain bike.

Has anyone made the 199mm S13WE work with 15" rims?

What about the 4runner calipers: S13WM? They are 199mm too, but not as wide and work with slimmer rotors. Can they be ground down and still be functional?

Well, I don't really think it's possible. I just thought I'd check to see if some TW ninja had maybe done it, before I went through with the expense and hassle of downgrading. :(

Any luck with this answer, I don't want to have to replace my 15" rims and tires just
To be able to upgrade to the tundra brakes but if I could get the smaller 199mm I would do that.

It's not possible. If you want to run the Tundra brakes you have to run 16" or 17" rims. 17" have more tire options but less sidewall.

Shok Industries 2/0 big 4 upgrade and sound deadener.
If you're concerned about the stock set up you could always buy a performance based set of pads like EBC, Bembo, Hawk etc. that fit your driving style

Thanks, I do have a great setup and works great for me, was just wondering If I could do the swap.
I'm running drilled and slotted rotors, steel strength is 3500, so no wrapping or issues,
And running EBC 7000 green stuff.
