It's the bamf first gen shock relocation, yanked the bed off and put the upper crossmember as high up as it would go (1/4" from bottom of the bed). Cleaned the rear end and make some slight modifications to some of the wires/ brake cables etc for everything to fit nicely. Using a king 2.5 10" shock w/ resi & clickers. First time we mounted the upper crossmember too low and have virtually no uptravel, cut it out the next day an burned it in as high as it'll go. Cycled everything with one leaf in and wheelers bumpstops worked good so far.. Pics of the setup later today:thumbsup:

Truck is looking great. :jellydance: Very nice. You went with the J59 pack? Then just angled back and in a bit to squeeze in 10"?

Can you include the valving tag from the shocks please? Id like to see the differences on inboard valving if any.

    Yes sir!

I don't do a lot of driving with weight and didn't want too much rear lift/stiffness. This back sits level with the front with a 33" spare an hi lift.

Doing a lot of reading they said that a 10" shock would fit on the first and second hole (closest to the frame rails) but didn't work. Had to move in to the third hole to get the proper amount of uptravel. Not sure how people are using 12s with this setupo_O

They are angled slightly back and inward a hare /\

Yea there's some fine tuning to do forsure but happy for the most part!

Some people were saying shocks angled /\ would have a incredible amount of body roll but the truck is still my dd and seems fine to me... allitle more sway but nothing crazy

Well shit. Haha. I'm doing a similar set up with all pro leafs, u bolt flip, 12" kings and a kit I pieced together that is pretty similar to the BAMF kit. I will be getting to that the end of the month. Looks like we'll find out then..

So based off of info in this thread, CB communication seems to be the most common between vehicles on these trail runs. What should I make sure to have when purchasing a CB radio for my truck? (Sorry new to the CB community as well)

From some suggestions I am looking at getting this in the next couple weeks.

Then some cable an antenna and then one of those little spring thingies for the antenna to sit on.

thats what a lot of people use... including myself. small, basic, works. I run my Uniden 520 with a 4' Firestik and a Heavy spring. you can get everything you need from Firestik direct at their Phx location.. or the Loves truck stop. otherwise.. order the kit online. you'll need about 16 feet of coax cable..

Also mount of some type (again if not magnetic, which usually get knocked off by brush anyway)

CB Radio - clean power from the battery allows cleanest performance

Coax Cable - needs to be free of nicks in housing, not shorted out, do not coil tightly, should be close to length needed or routed long way to avoid coils

Mount - needs to be grounded to body/chassis, the higher it is mounted and more flat sheet metal around, the better the performance

Spring/Stud Kit - Connects Coax and Antenna thru mount without grounding conductor, spring allows antenna to move and reduce stress on mount due to wind or obstructions

Antenna - Length should be tall enough to have a majority above the roofline, tool-free length adjustment helps with easier tuning

Tuning - SWR needs to be checked at various channels and length of antenna system adjusted to get the lowest/flattest readings you can.
