Happy to have finaly located a 2017 limited. I had a 2014 Tundra that was too big and terrible on fuel. Great truck but became a little too big over time. Glad to downsize a bit.

I noticed that I have the howl that I see the TSB exists for. Surprised they didnt fix it in all Tacomas but I guess not yet.

Also wondering that there is no oem remote starter yet?

Anyways wanted to say hi and that I am glad to be in the Tacoma world!

Welcome. I have a Limited as well...but no howl. I've purposely tried to listen for it numerous times in all sorts of varying wind conditions. Nothing. Guess I'm lucky...and happy about it!!

When does the howl occur? You'll have to listen to if it comes on and off when you apply and remove the gas. The TSB for the howling from the control arms, which would not be throttle related, doesn't apply (apparently) to the 2017's.

Which makes no sense since the control arms are the same. Da faq?

Does the limited have an air dam? I noticed on my sport that when I took the air dam off the howl became much more noticebale. I put the air dam back on for that reason

Yes, now you can make a mini tornado of dust and dog hair on demand while you're driving

I've personally liked the 4runner/tundra rear window where the whole thing goes down not a 1 square foot piece of plexiglass

yes - 2017 TRD's double cabs have the power window. You can open it fully or part way depending on how long you hold switch for. My dog loves it!

So it's still a 3 piece window with the middle part that opens?
Happen to have a picture of the mechanism that operates it?

yes -it's a 3-piece - can't really see the mechanism. I plan to add some sound deadener soon. will take pictures when i have back plastic off. Trim around the outside of the window is different. Almost looks like rear window glass sits further back. I did not get a close look at the 2016 but they seem pretty close to my old 2011. I think the center slider is slightly wider then old slider but havn't measured.

Yes, I actually noticed by accident and was going to buy a 2016. My kids loved the full power down window in my tundra so I really wated it but probably wouldnt have cared if it was just me.
