So I've been able to find data for OME springs and for the factory TRD springs (which I assume means TRD Offroad 4x4) but cannot find anything for the spring rates of a 4x4 AC with the 4 cylinder.

    OME884 390mm, 590lbs/in, 1 inch of lift
    OME885 395mm, 590lb/in, 1.5 to 2 inches of lift
    OME886 402mm, 660lbs/in, 2.5-3+ inches of lift
Factor TRD Tacoma springs, 14 inches long, 540lbs/in, 0 lift

Does anyone know the spring rates for the 4 cylinder AC? Are they the same?

I ask because I have a 15' TRD offroad and eventually will be going OME 885's and my buddy has the 4cyl AC; I will give him my old stuff but am concerned about the spring/damper rates being compatible with the lighter truck.

Okay, bump with a rephrase that might be more successful.

Has anyone taken OR springs (maybe shocks too) from a DC and installed them on a 4cylinder AC?

I think the Off Road springs are progressive which means their spring rate changes as they compress.

Stock/Sport springs are linear, meaning they are the same rate throughout compression.

I think if you were to use the OR springs on the 4cyl AC it would result in a softer ride when off roading but a mixed bag on the streets.

I understand the springs are not linear; I guess the pertinent question with respect to the effect progressive springs will have is what is the effective spring rate of the OR springs at ride height on the lighter 4 cylinder AC and how does that compare to the stock 4 cylinder AC rate at ride height.
