Unless you hook up with an increasingly elusive and rare Total Chaos 5-lug mid-travel kit, and change out your final drive gearing in order to be able to drive 33" wheels, a body lift on our trucks just make no sense at all. Going to 33" tires MIGHT make it necessary going to a 1" body lift along with a cab-corner chop. Otherwise, just by itself, all you are doing is raising your CofG unnecessarily.

Due to front suspension geometry angles with OEM components, along with driveshaft angles, the present 2.75"/1.75" spacer/AAL kits along with good shocks and appropriately upsized from OEM tires, is about the economic limit for most.

I think most 5 lugs are doing Fat Bobs? Ready lift with add a leaf.

I'm thinking of the add a leaf for mine.

I switched my tires over to the BFG Long Trail LT's
A heavier tire with 2 ply sidewall.
The largest size we can comfortably go, without a lift kit on stock steelies is 235/75/R15.
This provides a 1" lift in the upsize tire.
The "Tradewinds" here will blow and being higher means fighting to counter steer the winds pushing
    You sideways off the road.
The heavier tires keep the bottom side down.
A bigger spare tire has made a big difference in the rear end hopping off of road "lane reflectors"
    In the asphalt.

No... I just read allot on here and decided which way I wanted to go with it.
I bought the Tacoma in order to pull a boat on a trailer.
    I had had a 1980 Celica
A New 2 door 1990 Corolla coupe (white)
Then a 1989 Corolla wagon (white)

I really like a 4 cylinder Toyota motor, and the Tacoma has a timing chain.
So the decision was a no brainer.
These 4 cylinders are very low maintenance and get 250,000 miles easily.
I keep cars until the repair costs exceed the cash value of the vehicle.
