Why the hell cant alignment shop get rid of my positive camber? I fucking hate the look of any camber. It makes it look like you skimped on the lift. Thoughts?

Bilstein 5100's upfront set at 3rd notch using the stock TRD Offroad coil. I have Bilstein 5160's in the rear sitting 285/70/17 Toyo AT2's and Method NV Wheels. Camburg Ball Joint UCA's, Custom DKE designs grill, Cobra CB Radio
Same situation here, positive camber with 5100's at 3rd notch...went out and bought the camburg uni ball UCA to fix it and no dice... didn't do shit.... still positive. I've spoken with multiple offroad shops that all say the same thing... deal with it nothing we can do? I find that hard to believe but they would know.

Listen I have the Camburg Ball Joint type UCA's and have 2.7 of Caster and 0.5 Postive Camber. I thought that those numbers sucked until I talked to Marlin at JBA and he always puts about 0.5 Positive Camber into the alignments. And says you should have the little Positive Camber for cornering purposes. Mine has been 2 months now, and I have zero uneven tire wear or any other issues. So you will get many opinion's but I am going to go by what someone who builds UCA's for a living says.

Find a shop that will read the install instructions from icon instead of trying to do an alingment like it has stock UCA's

Wait that doesn't make any sense. Why would one want positive camber? That would mean the tire on the inside of the turn would have more surface to the road than the tire on the outside of the turn. I'm pretty sure you want the tire on the outside of the turn to be as flat as possible maintaining as much contact with the road. I thought most sports cars (omfg I know the Tacoma is a truck) ran with a slight bit of negative camber for handling purposes.

Just going by what JBA told me and I think @Blackout14 who deals with Marlin has his the same way. A little Positive Camber

Hmm weird. I was always under the assumption that negative camber was better for handling. Of course up until a point when you get the #stancenation guys where you start loosing tire contact to the road in a straight line.

I prefer 0 camber or as close to it as possible. I've been experimenting with it lately and readjusting. I hated the way my truck looked with positive camber. Most people probably aren't as perceptive/picky.

.05 is pretty much 0 and I'd be happy with that. My angle finder isn't even accurate enough to get a "perfect" 0°, but it's pretty damn close. .5 (+or-) is visually obvious to me though.

Does anyone here have the alignment instruction icon gives when you buy their UCAs?

I'm getting my alignment done and would like to bring those instructions in for them. I lost mine and they're closed today. Thank you.

    Ease of turning.

Even more important if you increase your scrub radius via wheel spacer or wheel offset. Or, move your SAI inward via lift.
