Couldn't agree more. My hangover lasts for days now. My mind is willing but my body is not. First day im physically ill after too much hooch. A day or three after I still feel loopy. I'm at that age where I'm learning to dial in the right mix of party and not feeling like crap. The sailor in me refuses to go down easily. Ha GO DODGERS!

You did pretty good in Pismo, Dirk. Stayed up pretty late with us. I woke up and you were packed and goners. Seems you have your party to hangover ratio figured out. Haha. You coming to Big Bear end of the month?

    Looks like you'll still need:
    4x4 rear driveshaft
    4x4 transmission and transmission mount
4x4 shifter and interior shifter housing
4x4 shifter boot (interior and exterior)
    4x4 floor shifter plate

I would love to but I believe that is the same weekend I'll be in Catalina with a few business friends/clients. We'll have a good time there but I do look forward to joining some more wheeling/camping trips with you all. Most likely Superstition, Idyllwild, Joshua Tree, Ocotillo...

Right on. I'll be spending a fair amount of time in Joshua Tree this season exploring and hiking. Probably hit death valley at least a couple times (Thanksgiving for sure). Definitely superstition for the 8th annual meet there. Anza runs somewhere in there. Youre good people. Happy to have ya come along.

Definitely. There's some badass places to discover where access is by hiking only. Get close via our trucks and hike in to ponds, caverns, springs, and the like. Our trucks are pretty capable of getting cool place but sometimes its hiking that takes a person to those ancient gems. Same goes for Death Valley. Just read a report on Kaleidoscope Canyon. Views are gorgeous but only accessible on foot.

I need to get out hiking again. I just don't fair well in the heat and sun. Gotta love these fall months! I wanna hike Ryan mountain, to keys ranch and some hidden mines around there too. Damn I love JT

Best part about living where we do is we're 35 mins to the top of big bear and 35 mins to JT. Going to really try and hit JT every chance we get this season. We're so close there's really no reason for us not to be well versed in it. People travel from all over the globe for it. Gotta make it happen.

I'm trying to get out and do something almost every weekend. I'll make the drive up to do things, espcially if camping is involved!

Exactly. Build an expo rig. Do expo stuff. I don't want to purposely bash my rig. I better be seeing some cool shit if I do. Haha

If I bash my rig, I have nothing left to drive  As long as I can get to some nice little gems that the regular folk can't get to, I'm happy. Can't wait for fire season to be done with so we can get to some real camping!

What's the cost of a daily entry for JT? and the cost of an annual pass? Like I already said, I really want to get out and be doing truck/outdoor stuff every possible weekend I can. Might be worth it to get the pass for me

This is what you want then. It's 80 bucks and gets you unlimited access to all national parks and more.
    https://www.nps.gov/planyourvisit/passes.htm

If you go a la cart it's 20 bucks a pop (7 days pass). a handful of trips to Yosemite, JT, DV and it's paid for. The annual JT pass is 50 bucks.
