Hello all, 1st post on TW. I own a '16 sport DCSB and I live in the midwest. When applying fluid film, is there anywhere I should stay away from? Or is it just an anywhere I want to spray it type thing (1st time messing with this stuff). Wasnt sure if there were any sensitive areas/parts that are a no-go

    Thanks in advance!

You can spray it on just about anything but natural rubbers. I spray my entire frame a couple times a year because I'm in the snow belt.

When you say natural rubbers are you speaking of any/all the rubber components under the vehicle? I also use fluid film, but it's almost impossible to keep it off all rubber, gaskets, and caulk on the frame/underbody. Even if avoided this stuff eventually drips on everything.

You should be fine. Lanolin based lubricants can penetrate natural rubbers that aren't oil-resistant. I'm not a chemical engineer, but I think most of the stuff on our trucks should be oil resistant.

I would recommend ramps if you are doing on the ground and a good respirator for your lungs. I would give your frame a good pressure wash and let it dry, before you apply F.F. to prep it.
