My other option right now is getting a Tundra limited if I can't get my Tacoma TRD Pro. I am worried about the mileage difference.

...^^^... How long do you keep your vehicles and how much city driving and many tight parking spaces and parking garages??

Had maybe 10-12 Toyota trucks and Tundra was great for power on on the road, with difficult parking and gas guzzler.

Tacoma is getting bigger, but still small enough to be good on the road, can park it in more places and I get to pass more gas stations.

You get MORE TRUCK for the money with a Tundra .... but it is MORE TRUCK to park and fuel up too ... Tacoma is a great compromise for me.

I don't think your current 2016 2WD OR restricts you from enjoying any of those activities with your family. Take a few family trips hiking, beaching etc. and rank what you really need. You might find out that 4WD or a bigger truck might not really be it. Personally, it sounds like you have a solid rig and you can spend that extra cash on your family activities! Good luck to you in your endeavors and thank you for your service!

Keep your current Tacoma. Going to the Tundra TRD Pro w/o being heavy into 4x4 seems like a waste. Remember, you're going backwards in interior tech as well.

Excellent point for anyone to consider with the Tundra versus Tacoma at this time. I've had my 16 taco since December. I'm now getting to the point where I need to start looking into full size, family changes. I had considered the Tundra myself but the old technology, outdated looks, and the gas mileage is what steers me away. Loads of power which would be fun, but I'd run out of gas before enjoying it.

When I am 50, I dream of purchasing my first American vehicle. A Ford F450 Dually.

Till then, at the same price point, Tundra OR is a better value. However, I don't like the bed size. I wish the TRD Pro Tundra came in double cab and longer bed.

    Good luck.

Tundra dude. Ball up get it. Both are great trucks. but You want room, the Tacoma really gets cramped with five. Feel the v8 power. I like the 3.5 V6, but you can really get some road respect in a Tundra

...^^^... Lol. Good pic on "V8".

Love the Tundra 5.7 and factory duals.

I thought of another Tundra this time too, but went with another Tacoma.

Working on my house to get it ready to sell soon and after that, I might try to live without a truck again and go back to a sports car for easy parking and traffic.

FWIW, the Tacoma got too big for me in many ways.

If a vehicle is fun, nimble, quick and easy to park .... those are important on my list today
