So after 3 months finally got the right recall spring set for my 05 DCSB Taco with the TSB springs. Here's the story:

Got my recall letter in June, took it to dealer for "inspection". They said I qualify for the recall and would call me when parts came in. Waited 3 weeks and called them. They said not in yet. I wanted to verify the part # for the springs on order; 04005-34404. They said that's the wrong number, should be 04005-34304. Said that's the ones for all EC/DC models. Tried arguing over the phone, gave up and drove over to them with a copy of the TI in hand. At first they tried to tell me the 34404 ones only applied to Canadian/Mexican region trucks. I argued some more. Finally a management type agreed with me, said they have never done the 34404 springs for any truck so far, and would have to open a case file and get Toyota to approve. They inspected the truck again. I thought all was good to go now. A day later they called back, said I need to bring truck back a 3rd time so they could take pictures and collect "data" before Toyota will approve.
Fast forward to first week in September. Dealer called said springs were in. Made appointment for next day. Let them have it overnight & got it today. Verified correct part #s:
    Kit #04005-34404:
    LH spring 48220-04300
    RH spring 48210-04660
Fitting kit #04005-34104 (they did not re-use any old parts. All new from kit)

Lost 1/2" of rake compared to TSB springs, but still has nose down look. Can't see any difference in ride quality. We'll see how they hold up after I tow my camper around. Since I was happy with the TSB springs, it was a difficult decision to replace them. Several factors to weigh; safety (break a leaf and puncture gas tank), old springs were 9 years old and starting to rust, plus the rubber bushings on the old set were getting hard and cracking.
    Here they are:

Good luck to you all trying to get the right springs.

Glad you got what you needed. I'm currently waiting on the 'correct' spring set.

Dealer 1: My wife took the truck to them for state inspection. Had them inspect for the recall also. The paper work, says that my truck has the proper springs on and no replacement is necessary. Wife doesn't know any better to ask questions so she just brings it home.

Dealer 2: Instead of arguing with a dealer that doesn't seem to know what they are doing, I go to another dealer (2). They don't even look at the truck and say, "We're not even inspecting them anymore, just ordering the parts." So they send me on my way.

A few weeks later, my wife gets a call from Dealer 1 saying my parts are in and want to set up a time to install them. . . . huh? I go up there to talk to them in person. Turns out it's the wrong spring set (duh) and they had no idea about the TSB part of the recall. So I explain everything and we agree I need the 34404 also, and they order them which I'm currently waiting on.

Now I assume Dealer 2 also still has whatever set they ordered for me on order. Haven't called to confirm yet, but I bet they are the non TSB ones. Oh well, I'm sure there will be someone elses truck they will be able to use them on.
