4 houses from me, there is a gentleman with 04 Double Cab. Original owner. He is 94 years old. 4x4. 9,100 miles. I offered him 20K, he said no. Said will sell it for 35K.

He is a son, retired in Montana.

I am hoping when old man passes away, I can talk the son into selling it to me...

Horrendously ugly gold color of course.

 only 9K miles??? I thought mine was a unicorn, that puts mine to shame!

$35k is ridiculous though lol, no way it should sell for more than it was brand new. I could see maybe asking $25k, but even that would be pushing it.

    Is it a TRD?

Yes it is a TRD. He also has a 1988 Lincoln Towncar with about 4,500 miles. He lives alone. No kids/wife here. Hardly leaves the house.

Imo 9k miles is far worse than one with 60k.

agreed, unless he had the oil changed regularly and burned off the gas there is probably some sludge or bad gas sitting in the lines :(

Car is at Bob Smith Toyota every 90 days.

When I was in college and at Acura dealer, I used to see NSX all the time with few hundred miles. Towed in, oil changed, towed out. 6 months later, same car maybe about 5 miles on it, towed in and towed out. Since I have other sports cars and on other forums, it isn't surprising to see to my fellow Lotus/F car owners with super low mileage, but super strict maintenance.

If you compare to those cars, this 9K truck is high mileage. LOL.

Please provide your thoughts and feedback and thanks in advance.

I can buy a 2000 TRD 2WD 3.4L V6, A/T from the original owner with 47k miles. It's in immaculate condition and he wants $14k. It has TRD headers, TRD supercharger, TRD brake pads and rotors, and the TRD trans oil cooler.

Owner is 84 years old and has barely driven it and always kept it in the garage.

What do you think about the price and is there anything I should look out for?

5 months ago, I bought my 2004 TRD 4x4 3.4L, 5 speed manual with TRD headers/exhaust and TRD supercharger with 24,300 original miles on the truck for $17k at a Toyota dealership in SoCal

Sounds like a good deal, maybe a little high for a 4x2 but with the supercharger on it (assuming it's all in good condition) I say go for it.

Try and find out if the supercharger was bought new or used. If it was bought used, then hopefully the owner knows the true mileage on it. These TRD superchargers need to be rebuilt at around 100k miles otherwise you'll start to run into problems with them. Also, see if the owner did any of the recommended fuel mods for the supercharger, most notably the 7th injector kit from URD. At the very least, you need to be running colder spark plugs (iridium) with the supercharger. Running the stock copper ones will cause it to ping/knock like crazy.

Pretty good deal. Though the Extended/Standard Cab doesn't fetch the 4 door gen 1 prices, finding a good one is still rare as your time of sale suggested.
