I am looking for a full sized truck to trade my Tacoma for. If you know anything about the tundra that you want to share please let me know. I found one 2014 locally with 65XXX miles 4x4 platinum blacked out. They are asking internet price of 39000. I love the way the Tundra drives and feels however... what do you guys think?

I'd say you should sign up for a Tundra forum. There would be much more useful info, I'm sure!

Maybe you should go on tundras and ask them. I'm sure you'd get more educated answers there.

Consider it full sized and a reasonably capable, very comfortable hauler that never passed a gas pump it didn't like.

I know a guy who bought a 2016 crew max for around 36000 and I do know the msrp on them is around 42000. I think you could get a new or newer truck for around the same price.

...^^^... That price seems high to me.

I have had several Tundras and they were great trucks ... just too big for me now.

I can tell you I have a Tundra for a work truck. SR5 Double Cab. Gas mileage is terrible 12-13 mpg in town. Parking is not that bad if you find a space you can pull into and drive forward out of. It is comfortable and can tow with no problem whatsoever.
39k for a 2014:eek:, you can get a 2016 right now for that price. Toyota is having 1500 to 2000 off right now.

Fix the Tacoma otherwise peace homie. Also Christ has nothing to do with my incessant complaints...

I'm not sure that some of you caught that the OP said it was a Platinum model. A 2014 Crew Max ( that's what they call the 4 door Tundra ) Platinum model on KBB is 38-42k :

I had a 2007 Limited. Very big, but roomy, powerful, comfortable. Drinks gas. The 2007 had 2 issues Toyota refused to address. The "feel like i got bumped in the rear" thing and the bed hop. Read the Tundra forums.

true, but the title of the thread does include the word "Tundra"- if it bothers you that much, maybe just don't read it? Many posts on TacomaWorld are not Tacoma specific, but are still fun to read sometimes.

Checked out the Tundra PRO but it felt really dated. The interior is a decade behind the newer ford's and GMs. I prefer the look of the Silverado but that is a subjective thing. If it were me and I went to a full size I'd be looking at the new silverados. The Fords have some awesome build options though
