The package started with the last year of 2nd gens, to make up for the loss of regular cab Tacos:

I wish they offered the rear seat delete option when I bought my truck. Saves weight, cost, and frees up more room for cargo. I have never carried a passenger in the jumpseats.

Yep, i drove around trying to put my baby carseat in various trucks at dealerships before i found my taco. The AC was completely out of the question.

The DC was really not designed with comfort in mind for 4 adult men.
These trucks can get out on jeep trails and such because they are Small Trucks.

If I'm in the backseat of my truck... I'm too drunk to care about which has more room back there...

In all seriousness i have owned a 2016 SR ACLB and now a 2016 SR5 DCSB. My kids like the seats in the back better now, more comfortable to them (7 and 10) but the backseat area does look a bit more "crowded" due to the backseat itself.

I prefer the double cab but miss the long bed sometimes.

I'm going to the double so my kids have more room, we really only use it for camping and boating adventures. They have spent the last 8 years in the access cab, so we shall see what upcoming years bring about.
