Eon_blue Yeah...they were way cool about everything and genuinely cared and took time to explain what they were doing and what was happening. This is far more than I can say about other dealers I've bought vehicles from. The tech Greg and my service advisor Billy made me feel exceptional and said if anything happened to let them know. Props for Big Two Toyota in Chandler.

So I had a similar issue on my 11. I had been using it in 4lo, took it back to 4hi then 2hi, but the light kept blinking on my dash. It wouldn't shift back into 4hi but wouldn't clear the blinking light. I took her in to the dealership, they told me that the actuator was bad, and replaced it. This was maybe a year in on a brand new truck. Earlier today on my way to work, I put her into 4hi on a straight stretch of pavement just to spin the front diff and fluid. When I was getting close to my turn, I put it back to 2wd. Parked my truck at the job trailer, then went out to another building, and saw my 4wd light blinking. It wouldn't go into 4hi, but wouldn't stop blinking. Drove 30 miles home with it still flashing, tapped on it with a hammer, drove to store and back, and still flashing. I checked the connections and a couple looked a little dusty, but it should have still been just fine electrically. I felt the 1 vacuum hose and it was connected at both ends, didn't seem to have a leak.
I suspect that these actuators aren't all they should be.

Make sure you keep on this issue - after a 'could not diagnose' on similar problems on a 2009, finally found a limit switch malfunction on the transfer case actuator - $1,200.00 part, 11 hours labour to repair. Pricks at dealership waited until my extended warranty was up before 'figuring out' the problem. Generally though, blinking light- front ADD, any other combination - transfer case. Won't buy another of these trucks unless an exceptional deal on extended warranty is offered at the same time.
