Looking for a lift kit. Stopped by a shop close by the specializes in truck lifts and they said Pro Comp makes a great kit. They said a 6" is real nice but I asked if they make one smaller. They are gonna call me back with pricing for a lift with 35" wheels and tires. I don't so any off road stuff and want to get something with a nice ride. Who makes the best kit that will be high quality with a nice ride (like a stock if possible)? If anyone has a set up like this please let me know your thoughts and some photos would be great also. Thanks.

    Pro comp kits are junk...
Toytec, old man emu or icon.
3in and 33inxh tires is perfect any more and you'll run into more issues.

I'm also looking at this same suspension. Did you install yourself? If so how difficult? Which uca's did you go with?

    6inch lift with 35s?
hope you plan on regearing and have some money set aside for fixing your CVs unless you do a decent diff drop plus all the other problems you're going to run into.

not sure why you'd want that big of a lift and tires if you aren't even going off road.

I see some ford f350 with a 8inch lift and 22inch rims every day in my area, has a winch as well.
not sure what the winch is for...seeing as the thing never leaves the plaza lol.

It depends on what your drive train is. If your truck is 4x4, go 3" lift. If your truck is 4x2, you can get away with a 4" lift.

Any higher, you will have to do extra maintenance and cutting underneath which is must more costly.

Looks like I'll ask for a 3" lift based on this feedback. Thanks.

You'll be much happier in the long run, 3" is the magic number for Tacoma lifts without having to deal with a host of issues related to going any higher than that.

Don't take it to a shop. Order one of the adjustable 2-3" lift kits discussed here and in many other threads and install it yourself. $1- $3k done depending on how nice of dampers you want.

The shop told you about the 6" because it's the most expensive and they'll make the most money. It's not at all the best route to take.
