Does the 1997 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 2.7L have a low fuel light? I have owned this truck for 11 years and have driven it well below the empty line on more than 1 occasion ... but I have never seen a low fuel light.. wondering if it is burnt out or a fuse problem? Thanks for any info :)

Should be right next to the fuel gauge. It only lights up when it's really close to empty.

That gauge cluster is out of a newer 1st generation taco, I don't think the older (op's '97) tacos had a low fuel light.

She might have a base model. Maybe base models don't have the fuel light?

Yeah mine's an '04 and the light comes on when the needle begins to touch the top of the "E" mark.

I had a '99 several years ago and I'm 99% sure it had a fuel light, dunno about the 97's though.

My TRD 98 had one. So I assume yours did too.

Low fuel lights rounded ot the array of idiot lights needed because people couldn't understand actual gauges.

It has now been augmented with the little arrow next to the gas pump to tell you which side your filler is on. o_O

My '96 has a low fuel light. It has a tach cluster in it though. I read that non-tach clusters did not have low fuel lights.
