These are two photos taken inside my Pentagon office suite about 2 weeks after 9/11. We went back in to try to secure our classified info and lock safes, only to find holes in the floor that made it unstable and unsafe. Several times that day I somehow avoided death...and am thankful for every day I've had since then. Remember those who died that day, the families left behind and resolve to never forget their sacrifice.

 

Never forget 09/11/2001. Can't believe it's been 15 years. God bless you all who have and continue to keep us safe and the first responders everywhere. God bless the families of those who were affected by this event.

 

From the first public gathering of its size after the attacks on 9/11... WWE Smackdown was broadcast live from Texas on Thursday, 9/13/2001. This is the rendition of the national anthem that was performed by Lilian Garcia at the start of the show. Always love to share this one because there is not a single moment that I am more proud to be American than when I hear her sing this song from this day. Never forget...

Never forget! SLAINTE, to my brothers who passed 15 yrs ago. I can't believe it's been 15 years.

 

Anyone who would kneel or sit during our National Anthem makes me wonder what they would stand for...

Found this pic of the wife and I on the bow of my boat at OpSail in 2000, which happens about once a decade. Totally unplanned, the Twin Towers are in the background. Obviously, the background was much different the next year. And a pic of the new One World Trade I took on Saturday's visit to the 9/11 Memorial.
