Purchased my truck for trade in value with 204k mIles on it. Ive put 3k miles on it fairly trouble free. I started to hear a slight pinging noise around 3000 rpm. After researching the valve issues the 3rz has, I decide to check and adjust the valve clearance. The clearances were:
    Cylinder #1: .008 in.
    .010
    Cylinder #2: .011
    .012
    Cylinder #3: .008
    .012
    Cylinder #4: .010
    .011

I adjusted them all to the looser side of spec, leaving me with 4 valves at .014, 2 at .013, and 2 .015. I idled the engine until warm then drove it for ten miles. The ping was gone and it ran great. While driving it later that day I noticed a misfire while idling, which grew into an intermittent misfire, especially at take off.
Thinking that maybe the 2 valves at .015 were to loose i readjusted them to .013. While doing this I found I had lost the rubber boot on my #1 coil that goes over the plug and thought I had found my misfire. Same thing, idled and drove great initially, misfired later that day.
Read a p0301 code, switched coils, but haven't got it to throw another code to see if the misfire changes cylinder. Also did a compression check: #1-175 #2-160 #3-160 #4 185. Plugs looked great. All vacuum lines seem fine.
What should I do from here?
