Thanks for the illustration. Which wire powers the switch light?

Power from the OEM Fog relay coil is the blue wire. White with black tracer is the chassis ground. The Mcute will illuminate when depressed if tied in as illustrated.
The OEM green is dash illumination (+) and the green with white tracer is the (-). If tied in as illustrated it'll illuminate with TAILS.

If it's like the Offroad Arsenal switch I bought for my bed lights the Mictuning switch might not work properly with the dimmer control (green and green/white factory wires) if it uses LED bulbs. I ended up connecting the black wire to chassis and the red wire next to it to a switched +12V source at the fuse panel behind the dash.

Explain? 12vdc from dimming different from switched source only if dimmed...maybe bad tap. Or another cheap switch...:D

If I recall correctly the switch backlight was either fully on or completely off when the dimmer rheostat was adjusted. I suspect the switch circuitry has a voltage regulator built into it since 0V to 12V is a wide operating range for an LED circuit. Since it turned on and off I had no reason to believe the wire taps were faulty.

    After wiring it up,
the switch is lit full time (2 internal lamps)
When switched on (only bottom lamp is on)
    Dimmer works

Being lit full time annoyed me so I took it off and wired the OEM back.

I finished installing one of these a few weeks ago, super pain in the ass I was not prepared for. I ended up having to tap into an ignition circuit for the lower letters and then run my own power wire to the fog lights because this switch didn't cooperate with my "fog any time" mod. When all was done I have a switch that lights the lower letters with the engine on, dims with the dash and lights up Harold when the fogs are turned on. Super pain, did I mention that?

I have an OEM illuminated fog light. Maybe that's an option for you, it's only lit when it's on.

I think it was originally in a Highlander or something.

I like the one better. Curious what it is out of and the part number.

It came with an OEM fog light install kit from Toyota of McDonough.

It's definitely an OEM part. Let me see if they still have a link to this on their website, the kit has been discontinued.
