Top of my skull this summer:

    Mayhem (Hellyeah/Slayer/King Diamond)
    Lamb of God/Slipknot
    Kid Rock/Foreigner
    Social Distortion

I know I'm forgetting 1-2 more. Next is Scorpions/Queensryche this week, Korn in October

Bringing back this thread because i had a good summer. I only got to see two shows but
the first was Alice in Chains and Guns n Roses at fed ex field. Great show in a huge venue. I don't think Slash left the stage at all or quit playing the guitar the whole set.

The second was Rob Zombie and Korn. In This Moment opened with a great stage show. Zombie had a great set with his B movie props. Korn ruled. You know it's a good show when you can feel your ribs vibrate and still hear every lyric and cymbal.

I've been to a lot of shows this year. Rock on the Range (notably the best rock festival in the US at the moment) and Chicago Open Air... RAMMSTEIN WOW! Last weekend I saw both Black Sabbath on "The End" tour and AC/DC with Axl Rose. Axl kinda sucked but the show was phenomenal. Took me back to age 17 I LOVED AC/DC! This week I'm seeing Huntress, Sabaton, and Trivium as well as AVATAR the following night. Any metalheads know these bands?

This summer consisted of Pearl Jam at MSG on 5/1, a handful of not so exciting (to me) bands that I got tickets to, Pearl Jam again at Fenway on 8/5, blink 182 on 8/26 and I'm headed to see Temple of the Dog at Tower Theater on 11/4.

This past couple weeks I saw Slayer & Anthrax w/ Death Angel.
-Still waiting for my black eye and cheek bruise to go away, haha

And I just saw Ghost with some 80's synthasized techno metal crap type music this past Wednesday night.

In 2 weeks my friend won us some Meshuggah tickets.
And I'm still debating weather to last minute drive up to Chicago for Opeth on the 9th - it's so tempting.

This year has included a crap load of good shows: LAMB OF GOD!, Korn, Zombie, Slipknot, Manson, Dropkick Murphys, Amon Amarth, and fuck I'm so tired right now I can't remember the few others I've been too. I know there's at least 2 more.

Lamb of God killed it at rock on the range this year. Attendance record on a side stage. I've seen all those this summer minus dropkick murphys and amon amarth. I wish I could see Amon Amarth open for Megadeth but they're not coming close to me. Saw megadeth at rock on the range though.

I saw Amon on their headline tour. This is their second time around this year which is awesome! I was ddeply disappointed in Megadeth's live preformance a few years ago, so I will never pay to see just them again, but Amon is just killer! If they were headed back to st. louis I'd go again, but I'm not driving to chi town to see them twice in a year, I can wait, lol.

I've actually seen that clip! haha...
LoG put on a great show for us in St. Louis. But some unfortunate dumbarse who was quickly kicked out thought it'd be funny to run across the stage. That "fan" obviously had no clue what the bands been through legally in the last few years. Randy cut the band off and gave us a speech. Almost everyone was just pissed off such a douchebag would show up to that show - but I guess that's what you get when they've made their way to mainstream level success.

Saw them Friday, what a shitshow. Cut it short and Ivan was barely onstage. He said his mom was dying which of course is awful but it's coming out he may have been too drunk to play.
