Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Oh, got it, you didn't understand what I said.

If you're going to add a fuse in front of 4 new lights like the OP has proposed in his circuit he doesn't need to know the rest of the light's current draw. He's fusing in front of the added lights as they're run direct to battery. He's using a relay behind the negative side running off the dome light to cycle the coil.

    So, just to be a little overly pedantic, 1amp LED's become pretty elementry math: 1x4=4amps * .30 = 5.2amps

I'd put a 5amp fuse in front of the new LEDs and call it a day. If you blow it more than once, review connections for shorts and consider replacing with larger. The initial draw on an LED is low compared to a halogen or HID.

In his drawing there is no relay...it's a DPDT switch...

Touche. I'm used to seeing SPDT in the context of a relay.

I'll take it, since you didn't address the rest of the post, you have nothing to add.

You lost me...nothing to add? I pointed out the switch so you could revise your statement...let's go back to what the OP wants to do so others may duplicate or not. When the dpdt switch selects the dimming circuit ('15 is Neg) he's adding the lamp load to an unknown amp max. In his vehicle he may have 5 lamps (incandescent lets say 1 amp each) and the OP didn't add any specs of his added lamps. So the suggestion went: Change all your interior lights to LED's to lower the draw on the OEM circuit...

So what way should I do this on my 15? My original post?

Yes, your original post is fine. Just keep in mind that the interior light circuit has a 7.5 amp protection. If you change the OEM lamps to L.E.D.'s (Dome, Maps, Vanity) then the circuit could handle the added "courtesy lights" if they are L.E.D's also or incandescent and don't exceed the combined total amps.
    Too much?

In reality the only lamp that is tied into the dimming circuit is the dome festoon which is about 1 amp. I have the maps and dome tied into the dimming on my '05 since new, no issues. Also have 2 LED as curb/courtesy lamps on same circuit with a DPDT switch and they are ON with the turn signals '70 style. These are 5 amps combined. Like I mentioned.. I have no idea the max amps the dimming circuit can handle without issues.

thank you did you just use a wire tap?I see that you were going to use a switch I wonder if I can not use the switch and just tap the dome ground and just run the power form the battery?

I haven't done it yet. I am going to tap the dome in the drivers A-pillar. You can power straight from the battery.

No need for the switch if you only want them on with the key fob. I wanted to be able to turn them on whenever i wanted and a SPDT will let me do that.

I haven't decided if I want to go the switch route it would probably come in handy.

Why not. All it is a switch and an additional ground wire. Might as well do it.
