It's not tapered like it's supposed too and I'm going to order a new set of u-bolts and blocks but if I get the 4" block I'm afraid I'll be sitting at 10" some how. My ultimate goal is 8" lift all around but first I need to figure out the back issue. I wish I could afford 8" alcan Springs but budget is tight.

By looking at the gaps in the leafs and you have an '06, I'm thinking that you have original 3 leaf springs( 2 plus the overload) and a long AAL. The AAL is installed above the overload obviously. Maybe?

Holy fawkin shit dude...that is some serious Bubba's Backyard Suspension shop bullshit there.

    1. That " lift block ' is just a slice of 2x4 box tubing some asshat stuffed in there. There is absolutely no center pin connecting to the axle perch at all. So, just to be clear there is absolutely nothing holding your axle in place front to back or side to side other than those completely wrong u-bolts.

    2. Bubba used the completely wrong u-bolts, those are some non grade 8 Pep Boys crap and they are not even the right ones. Do you see how those are round u-bolts but your leaf springs are square ? Your u-bolts should not have rounded curves they should be square.

Bro, that whole set up is straight up Bubba rigged and dangerous as hell. Take it to a reputable shop and get all of it replaced ASAP.

Just to be clear buddy, I know you bought it that way and didn't do it yourself so I don't mean to rag on your personally but that is seriously some ridiculously sketchy / unsafe work that has been done and you need to get it fixed ASAP. Your axle could literally shift and slide down those leaf springs at any moment.

I guess you need to figure out what you want to do? Go higher? Either way you need some proper u-bolts, a replacement block ar a bigger block(if you want to go higher) and some alignment pins, and tear it apart and make it right and safe. Sooner then later!

I noticed the rounded u-bolts. Theres used for under axle not for over axle. They need to be squared and blocks are obviously wrong as well. I'm ordering the right set that I need but it doesn't answer my question about how the height of 6" was achieved with this setup. I need to figure out what else is going on here before I order the blocks.

Like I said, I think you have a long AAL and a small block. And actually the rear is usually only 4-5" lift, the front is 6".

Yeah, order some U-bolts some proper blocks and tappered axle shims, unless the blocks come tappered. That should help with any vibrations.

OK so I'm going to order a 3" tapered block and the right u-bolts. Hopefully someone makes them. This should put me at 8" lift in the back theoretically. I'm sitting level with the 1" so add two inches on back and will sit level when I put the coil overs in the front and should be 8" all around. Will keep this thread updated with the progress. I'm not a fan of blocks but it's affordable as I don't offroad much just here and there. When I can afford some custom leaf packs I will. Maybe my own Christmas present haha

You can can try to see in comparison, more or less, where you are height wise in the rear by measuring from the center of the wheel (at the axle) straight up to the wheel well. I have a Fabtech 6" lift and I measured 26.75"
That's with a full tank of gas

@Sholden223 I measured 25.75 rear and alittle over 26 up front. so I now know (like NABeast said)I have a add a leaf that I believe is giving me 2.5 inches and the block that's giving me 1' for total of 3.5". I am 1/2 inch shorter in the back than the front but its hardly noticeable unless you measure this is with quarter tank of gas. I'm thinking the add a leaf gives different lift according to whats underneath it. idk just a thought. under pro comp part number it says gives 1.5 to 2.5 inches of lift so idk. moral of story I'm buying the the 2.5" tapered pro comp block and the right u-bolts. I will update my measurements once installed.

A few audio upgrades, tinted windows, remote start because it f'n hot in Texas! 6in Fabtech DB lift, 17x9 Fuel Trophy wheels, 315/70/17 Duratracs,BAMF 80in sliders w/kickout, Prinsu cab rack w/30in Heretic light bar, custom bedside decals, custom hi-lift jack brackets, US Offroad front bumper w/winch, bed rack with RTT, CB, Short wave base station, Ultra gauge, color matched grille surround, an ungodly amount of recover gear, ARB fridge, hood struts, RotoPax, traction pads.
Not sure what I'm looking at but that's a much bigger gap then my truck has between the frame and bed. I think I spy a body lift maybe :notsure:

That's exactly what I thought, I was looking at the same spot.

If you get a picture of the frame crossmember under the front bumper , that's easy to tell.
