    Morning all.
Well will be installing a 700 dollar door latch this morning.
All that money plus labor just to have a auto sliding door.
The laziness of the American culture just amazes me.

Nice thought neighbor BUT at these prices mine would have to be a "Working Truck".....that protective red cover on the 5th wheel would/could not exist with me :D.. I keep "Knocking honey-doo's" off my list and that "Dream" is getting closer...... That is the REAL reason we work at dealerships..the $$$$$$$ Fill enough pillow cases with it and semi retire even more :rofl::rofl:

    Good Morning all :hattip:

Line @ service entrance @ my Toyota dealership was ALMOST that long last week when I went in to order a few things! :annoyed: Quite a few 3rd gens in for warranty work. Manager got irate with me when I tried to take a picture. Touchy subject apparently.

They also run a Scion dealership (for now) Lot was empty for the most part. Will Toyota pick up service/warranty for them through regular Toyota dealerships?

So....I figured out a way to keep my boss quiet. Simple. Just bust the budget. With no money to work with, his hands are tied. We had a $6K+ commercial water heater to blow out unexpectedly, a budgeted upholstery repair come in at $5500 more than original estimate, 2 straight months of excessive water use that ran the water bill almost $16,000 over budget, and a computerized irrigation system take a direct hit from lightning. Over $20K there. We are broke for the rest of the month! Orders are to do NOTHING that isn't essential. So....2 weeks of coasting! After a long hard hot summer, I can deal with it!

Thanks Chris. Can you figure a way to keep posting when you go back to work? I'm afraid you are going to fall off the site.

Good morning and hope everyone has a great day! And hope that you feel better soon Andy.

Started on the roof at sunrise but no joy yet, not an air bubble just got to snake more today in my free time.

For so many years being in the engine room of ships with huge boilers and steam plants sweating my ass off in the tropics and Gulf couldn't wait to get back to the cold. Dreamed about pissing my name in the snow when it was 120 in the shade. Well that lasted all of less than 10 years. Not fond of the snow removal or bitter cold anymore either. There are retirement communities starting to pop up in the North. Talked to a gentleman that lives in one and told him I couldn't wait to get out of the brutal winters where it often the coldest place in CONUS. He said once you retire and don't have to clear snow to go to work or be someplace at a certain time it really isn't so bad. Especially when someone else shovels it for you. I could see that. Sitting on a beach someplace with the warm sun and a drink in my hand still sounds better come January or February though.
