I have one like 3min up the road and my wife has a bunch of business trips coming up so I'll be on my own. I'm about to get to know the Olive Garden staff real well...

Hitting OHP/shoulders/triceps tonight after Corporations class.

    Strict OHP (barbell)
    skull crushers
    lateral raise
    close grip bench
    arnold press

    then eat all the foods.

I have a convention this weekend in Virginia Beach. I am going to try not to drink, but am already catching flack from my co-workers for that decision. We will see how that goes...The hotel has a gym, but I bet it's shit, as most hotel gyms are.

You should totally go to the hotel gym in a stringer, with a gallon jug and some chalk

What do all you bros typically do for leg day? I'm not talking about what exercises, but in terms of sets/reps...

Since the dawn of time, I've been doing something like this:

quad exercise 1: 4 sets of 6-25 reps
quad exercise 2: 4 sets of 6-25 reps
hamstring exercise 1: 4 sets of 6-25 reps
hamstring exercise 2: 4 sets of 6-25 reps

But I'm thinking about switching to something like this (basically doubling what I'm doing now):

quad exercise 1: 4 sets of 6-25 reps
quad exercise 2: 4 sets of 6-25 reps
quad exercise 3: 4 sets of 6-25 reps
quad exercise 4: 4 sets of 6-25 reps
hamstring exercise 1: 4 sets of 6-25 reps
    hamstring exercise 2 : 4 sets of 6-25 reps
hamstring exercise 3: 4 sets of 6-25 reps
hamstring exercise 4: 4 sets of 6-25 reps

    Thoughts?

Since I do legs twice a week I do 5 sets of 10-15 first go on everything.

Second day balls to walls to failure on each set and have done drop sets a few times to get a burn out ,but I switch it up. If I did hams first on day 1 I'll do hams last one day day too. But I also include calves and glutes on leg day and do ab work if I am not completely spent. If you've seen my IG something I'm doing is working in the leg dept.

Yeah, I'm trying to grow my wheels more, too. I want massive quads. I figured since I do 4 exercises for 4 sets of __ reps on all my other major body parts (chest, back, shoulders), I should be doing the same for legs. I'm gonna try it for a few weeks and see what happens. I'm gonna do 2 compound and 2 isolation movements per muscle. I predict 1 of 2 things will happen:

    1. growth
    2. fatigue, in which case I'll start doing quads and hamstrings on different days...something like this maybe:

    chest/bis
    quads/shoulders
back (my back workout is extremely taxing, so it gets its own day)
    hamstrings/tris

That's a lot of reps, and a lot of lifting. Not saying it won't work though.

I would like to think I have pretty big wheels (wtf am I talking about, I know I do...). I know you didn't ask about exercises, but...I start with squats, and do 3 working sets of 3-8 reps, depending on the day. I usually have a heavy squat day (3-5 reps per set), and a light squat day (5-8 reps per set) each week. Then I will do 3 "accessory" exercises (leg press, leg curl, quad extension, etc, whatever I feel like that day) using the scheme of 3 or 4 sets of 8-12 reps.

I believe that chasing a pump is great, but at some point you're reaching the point of diminishing returns. If during your last quad exercise, you're only able to leg press 2 plates on each side, then well, are you really making any strength or growth gains? Yeh your legs will be burning, but mainly because they're tired, and not because you're actually moving a challenging weight.

Golden Oreos because my son likes those better. I don't really care, but it always has to be 5. No more or less.

Had lunch today with the trainer up at my gym to pick his brain on my business idea. He took me around to a couple of the gyms in town after since he knew the owners. The 2nd one we went to was a crossfit gym and the owner was your stereotypical crossfit douche. Was in the middle of his workout, shirtless obv, and could hardly give us the time of day (he was the only person in the gym btw). He was doing 1 leg RDL superset with kettlebell swings while standing on a resistance band. My hatred for crossfit continues to grow o_O

He did have a pretty sweet spot though, too bad he wasted it with a crossfit gym:bananadead:

So, it looks like you kind of do the same thing, right? 3 sets of squats followed by 3 exercises for a total of 4 quad exercises, correct?

Maybe I'll do 3 exercises for quads and 3 for hamstrings instead of jumping from 2 to 4.

    Lol typical crossfitter.

Just regular. It's satisfactory for me. Not too much food to make me puke when I work out, but enough to let me push myself for 1&1/2hrs then I'm spent. The little carbs I get before help out. But try it!
