Napa platinum oil filter and Valvoline synthetic oil (10/30w) I live in so cal so we never see below 0 f and I don't do extreme camping. I mostly use my truck during the summer and sits for weeks on end during fall and winter in my driveway.

Think that Napa Platinum filter will fit on my 1999 Tacoma 3.4?

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
FRAM Ultra, Mobil 1 EP oil filter, Amsoil EaO and Bosch Distance Plus are all marketed as extended interval filters between 10k and 15k.
I personally wouldn't use them for that long, but many people do without issues. I just can't get over the fact of leaving an old filter on with fresh oil, it's like taking a shower and putting your dirty undies back on, it don't feel right!

But, you won't have any problems running the Bosch you mentioned. I wouldn't spend much time beating my head against a rock over oil filters, your air filter is the most important filter on a car and needs to be monitored closer.

I have to agree I change my oil every 5,000 miles if not sooner if I notice the oil is getting black. During the summer I go through countless air filters and oil changes some of the roads we take are real dusty and it's the time I put the most miles on my truck. Napa filter's give me the warm and fuzzy feeling....

    Pretty much stock right now
I used to use whatever was on sale or handy. Then I talked to the parts guy at the Toyota dealership. They run a 2for sale in which the OEM ends up costing about the same as most better filters. You can feel and see the OEM is better made than most of the mass marketed filters. I bought several, and will not be going back to any other brand. Why cheap out on your engine's lubricating system?

(I may go for a 10 pack with the hope my truck will last forever)
