I'm looking at some KC Pro Sport HID lights. I'm thinking about trying to mount them to the existing grill supports. It looks like either size will fit. Both will require me to relocate or adjust the existing mount for the horns. The 8" will probably hit the transmission cooler. Who has mounted their auxiliary lights this way and what kind and size did you use? Any problems?

The Pro Sports use a polymer housing. Do you think the weight of the light will eventually cause the plastic grill supports to fail?

I ordered the 8" lights. I got them from realtruck.com for $280 shipped. I've never used that merchant before or had KC lights, so I'll report back on both.

How are you liking the lights? I'd love to see pics if you like them and hear any feedback!

I've ordered a couple things from realtruck.com and have been completely satisfied with them and their customer service.

The lights are excellent. The housings are very sturdy and the light output and pattern is great. They do have maybe a 10 second warm up at most. KC's customer service was great at answering a couple of questions. They have been through some snow and some rough road driving. The lights seem to be well sealed and the mounts have kept them aimed. I think the value of these compared to others is excellent.
