So I just signed up to become a member of Tacoma World and wanted to thank you guys for the help I received from this site. Cliffs Notes of my situation: My 2016 Tacoma TRD Sport died and had to be towed to dealership (@ only 7140 miles on the ODO). The symptoms were rough idle followed by power loss ending in the engine dying. Dealership was stumped and kept referring to the computer diagnostics coming back clean & an inability to duplicate. My coworker (a fellow Taco owner) directs me to this website. I search Tacoma World and find a thread that described this exact same issue I was experiencing. I told the mechanic at the dealership that they should replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor (CPS) as per the Tacoma World advice. The dealership ignored my advice until the 3rd time I had to have the truck towed in. Then they finally replaced the CPS and that fixed the problem. So thanks again guys! It's nice to find others that love their Tacomas just as much (or more) as I do.

Welcome to TW. I've saved a bunch of cash doing my own maintenance based on help from fellow TW members. Glad to hear that your truck is squared away.

F'ing dealers, you're telling them the answer, yet still wouldn't do it.
